Outdoor-Use-Guidelines-RevAlways keep in mind appropriate ventilation and always check with your local council to make sure the area that you are planning is going to get the tick of approval from your building authority. You also want to make sure that your gas fitter is going to sign off on the conversion of the BBQ to Natural Gas by having the appropriate ventilation in your Outdoor Area.

Bayonet-Fitting-Australian-BBQ-ReviewBeefEater-Natural-Gas-KitA 9kg Gas bottle will suit the BBQ nicely with the supplied POL Hose and Regulator. Remember that the inlet for the BBQ is on the front right.  If you are thinking of converting the BBQ to Natural Gas (house gas / mains gas) you will need a licensed gas fitter and a BeefEater Natural Gas Conversion Kit. Natural-Gas-Flame-Australian-BBQ-ReviewBeefEater Natural Gas Kit has a Bayonet Fitting. You will need to get a gas fitter to fit this off when he converts the BBQ. This a spring loaded fitting that works by pressing in the fitting and twisting.
With such a high heat output you want to make sure that if you are running natural  gas (house gas / mains gas) you have enough gas pressure to run the BBQ. Consult your licensed gas fitter and discuss the overall heat output to get the correct setup for your home.

BeefEater Discovery 1100 Series BBQ Review

BeefEater Discovery 1100 the top of the Discovery Series range. They feature a roll back hood (where the bbq hood rolls back on the BBQ rather than the fold back hood of the 1000r) the megajoules on the burner increase to 17mj/h for a high heat output and the finish of the BBQ increases in style and components. BeefEater 1100 Series boasts a large cooking surface in the 4 burner of a enamel coated cast iron 400 x 480mm Grill and 400 x 480mm Hot Plate or the 5 Burner which boasts two 320 x 480mm Grills and  one 320 x 480mm Hot Plate. Ideal for cooking for the family or when you have friends come over, you’ll love how easy it is to use. The convenient castor / trolley wheels mean moving the unit around is a breeze and the gas bottle can even go in the trolley making for a neat unit.

Available as built in BBQ’s or trolley BBQ options. These BBQ’s have the added value of being able to be taken off the trolley at a later date, after having the optional built in brackets purchased, can be built into an outdoor kitchen. Making this a two for one BBQ purchase.

BeefEater-Discovery-1100-Drip-CupAn important difference between the 1000r and the Discovery 1100 Series is that of the grease management system. On the BeefEater 1000r it has a slide out drip tray system. On the BeefEater 1100 Series the Drip Cup is positioned in a holder underneath the BBQ. This means removing the grill(s) / plate, vaporizers and burners to clean the base of the BBQ. When building in the Discovery 1100 Series you need to leave enough clearance to access this cup.

BeefEater 1100 is available in black enamel or stainless steel options. The benefit of the stainless steel Discovery 1100 Series BBQ’s is that as well as a stainless steel body with a double skin hood, they have ignition on every burner. The enamel Discovery 1100E only has ignition on the first burner then others are ignited from the first.
Another option that comes with the BeefEater 1100 Series is the option to turn it into a standalone Outdoor Kitchen.  Viewing the BeefEater Outdoor Kitchen Brochure will give you the complete range of components that you can buy for the 1100 Kitchen.

BeefEater-Discovery-1100E-Outdoor-KitchenKeep in mind that the output for the side burner is on the right hand side of the BBQ so the wok burner will need to be there. Also the sink and tap cabinet doesn’t come with plumbing fittings at the time of writing. Check with your BeefEater Sales Specialist for further information.
